DAKOTA LEATHER WATCH BANDS Dakota leather watchbands are made from the finest oiled leather imported from Italy. The bands are constructed from a Swiss method referred to as “Rembordé Construction”. This technique involves turning the edges of the band and heat sealing to offer maximum durability. Plastic tubes are used in the lug end pieces of the band to create a perfect fit for the springbars. The only other company that uses this method is Hirsch. Hirsch watchbands retail for up to four times the cost of a Dakota leather strap.  Dakota leather watchbands are also made with Napa lining used to seal the backside of the band. This offers a more comfortable feel for the wearer. Another quality feature of the Dakota watchbands is the keepers. It is very important for a keeper to outlast the band. The keeper functions to keep the excessive part of the watchstrap from flapping. Superior stitching and glue are used on the Dakota watchbands to ensure durability.
